The Forty Rules of Love
A well-known and best-selling book that was translated under the name of the Nation of Love in Iran and was widely welcomed
In this fascinating book, Elif Shafaq narrates two parallel stories, one in the present and the other in the thirteenth century. The story of the thirteenth century about Rumi and his meeting with Shams Tabrizi and the narrator and artistic description of all the events that made Rumi as a student in the school of Shams become a great poet and perpetuate the message of his eternal love forever.
Another story is about a sad and forty-year-old woman who works as a literary consultant. The first novel he is about to publish is Aziz Zahara’s Sweet Blasphemy. He was soon impressed by the relationship and events between Rumi and Shams by reading this book, and Shams’s view of this pious dervishes about his life and world changed him.
In this book, the author, with all his narrow-mindedness and elegance, looks at the lives of these people and depicts their sad lives with complete artistry …
