خرید کتاب ستاره صبحگاهی ، پیرس بروان Pierce Brown نویسنده و فیلم نامه نویس آمریکایی است که به خاطر سری کتب Red Rising به شهرت بسیاری دست یافت. کتاب نخست این مجموعه با عنوان Red Rising موفقیت بزرگی را از آن او کرد و جزء بیست رمان پر فروش NYT قرار گرقت. کتاب دوم این سری در رتبه ششم پر فروش ها جای گرفت و تحسین و تمجید منتقدان بسیاری را بر انگیخت. کتاب سوم این مجموعه دست اوردی بزرگ بود و خیلی زود پس از انتشار رتبه یک پر فروش های NYT را تصاحب کرد و جایگاه او را به عنوان یک نویسنده ماهر در سبک علمی تخیلی تحکیم بخشید.
