Leading professor László Barabási gives us an amazing book that promises to change the foundations of how a passionate community approaches our success in careers, lives and long-term goals. Often, success is not equal to success. We did the job but failed to upgrade.
We played hard but we were not known, we had ideas but we did not get credit. We convince ourselves that talent combined with a strong work ethic is the key to progress, but we also realize that this combination often does not work without a deeper conclusion than why. Realizing this amazing disconnect, the author, along with a team of renowned researchers and some of the most advanced data collection systems on the planet, set themselves a goal: to discover that ever-elusive link between performance and success. Now, based on years of academic research, the formula finally unveils the basic findings of its pioneering study.
It not only highlights the scientific and mathematical principles underlying success, but also our understanding of why performance is necessary but not enough. Why “experts” often make mistakes. How to prepare a creative team for success. Involve your networks effectively
